Part 2 of the AST course. Advanced course that dives into decision making in avalanche terrain, and a deeper understanding of forecasts, snowpack problems and risk management.

Companion Rescue

One day course devoted to in depth practice and refresher on companion rescue through use of scenarios and hands on training.

Managing Avalanche Terrain

One day course that builds on the concepts in AST1, focusing on decision making in avalanche terrain.

AST1 Refresher

One day field based course reviewing the AST1 skills of terrain management, companion rescue and decision making. AST1 is a prerequisite.

Rider Development

$950

The Mountain Mentorship Program is a new offering, and is focused on helping new backcountry riders develop and learn a variety of skills, and help aid in progression, confidence, and growing as a backcountry snowmobiler. It focuses on Avalanche safety, both snowpack and terrain management, rescue, navigation and exploring, leadership, and decisionmaking in the mountains. This course is aimed at AST1 graduates who desire to move towards an AST2 course.

5 field days over full season, plus additional instruction.
